Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

At Soluna Wellness, we strive to educate our community on how to effectively control and decrease symptoms by utilizing private or group Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a research supported and globally recognized treatment method that centers around problem solving, revealing the relationship that individuals may have with beliefs, thoughts, and the behaviors that follow. By understanding the dynamics correlating with inner relationships and behaviors, we are able to effectively treat an array of psychological diagnoses, including, but not limited to anxiety, depression, PTSD, low self-esteem, OCD, bipolar disorder, and BPD.

This approach results in greater gain in a shorter amount of time.

Self Help Skills

Present-Focused

Unlike talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy is centered on the present tense, rather than the past by acknowledging our current thought distortions and unhealthy thinking patterns, and allowing for a more active treatment focusing on thought adjustment through cognitive restructuring. By understanding the thoughts and patterns of the mind and how they impact moods and emotions, we are able to create effective coping techniques to empower individuals to change negatives feelings and behaviors that have controlled the narrative for too long.

Lasting Gains

Cognitive therapy uses a structured and goal centered approach, while creating a safe environment where patients can safely discuss personal issues without fear of judgement or consequence. Our trained therapists will help bring understanding and awareness to harmful thought patterns and actions, allowing for the healthy narratives to take shape. Each self-help skill will be developed in a collaborative setting with your therapist, as well as given as assignments to be worked on individually or at home. Some assignment may include journaling, practical exercises, and reading.  By combining both talk therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy, you will start to see dramatic changes as you begin to self-identify disruptive patterns and independently learn to problem solve.
